Shipping Policy
Last updated: July 2026.
This Shipping Policy describes how we deliver your container & trailer, what delivery costs, and how to prepare your site so delivery goes smoothly. Please read it carefully before you order.
Shipping at a glance
- Delivery area: United States
- Handling time: 0–3 business days after payment clears
- Transit time: typically 1–3 weeks, depending on distance and carrier scheduling
- Delivery cost: a flat delivery rate is shown at checkout for standard deliveries
How your container/trailer delivered
Most containers are delivered on a tilt-bed (roll-off) truck. The bed tilts back and the container slides gently to the ground, so no crane is required in most cases — this is our standard and most common method.
For sites that a tilt-bed truck cannot reach, or where you prefer to set the container in a precise position, we can arrange a flatbed delivery. With a flatbed, a crane or forklift is needed to lift the container off the truck; you can supply suitable equipment on-site, or we can quote crane service separately. Let us know your site conditions and we will recommend the right method.
Delivery area and cost
We deliver nationwide across the contiguous United States. A flat delivery rate is shown at checkout for standard deliveries. Long-distance, specialty, or difficult-access deliveries may require a custom freight quote, which we will confirm with you before your order is dispatched. We do not currently ship internationally.
Handling and transit times
In-stock units typically dispatch within 0–3 business days of order confirmation and cleared payment. Total transit time then depends on your location, carrier scheduling, and weather — most deliveries arrive within roughly 1–3 weeks. These are estimates, not guarantees; we will give you an estimated delivery window after your order and keep you updated as it firms up.
Preparing your site
A successful delivery depends on a clear, accessible, and level site. Before your delivery date, please make sure you have:
- Enough room: a 20ft container needs roughly 60 feet of straight clearance to be placed; a 40ft container needs about 100–120 feet
- Firm, level ground: a dry, level, compacted surface such as concrete, gravel, or hard-packed dirt. We are not responsible for trucks that become stuck on soft surfaces such as grass, sand, or mud
- Clear overhead and approach: remove low branches, wires, and other obstructions, and make sure gates and entryways are wide enough for the truck
- Any required permits for placing a container on your property
Inspection on delivery
Please be present (or send someone you trust) to receive your container, and inspect it before the driver leaves. Check the overall structure, that the doors open and close, that the size and grade match your order, and that there is no transit damage. Note any issue on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing and report it to us right away. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for how claims are handled.
Scheduling your delivery
After your purchase, our logistics team will contact you to arrange a delivery date and confirm site access. Delivery dates are scheduled in good faith but may shift due to weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or carrier availability. We will let you know as soon as possible if a scheduled date needs to change.
Failed or missed deliveries
If your site is not ready, access is blocked, or no one is available to receive the container when the driver arrives, a re-delivery or waiting-time fee may apply, based on the distance involved and the driver’s time. You can avoid these charges by making sure your site meets the requirements above before the delivery date.
Changing your delivery address
If you need to change your delivery address, contact us as early as possible — ideally at least 72 hours before your scheduled delivery. Changes requested after dispatch or routing has been arranged may incur additional freight charges.
